Talking to IRNA on Saturday, he said the province which neighbors Iran will turn into an economic hub once the Khaf-Herat railway in completed.
He said the railway will become the main point for the entry and exit of goods and passengers because of its capacity to offer extra trade opportunities.
The distance betwen Khaf and Herat by railway is 191 kilometers, of which 114 kilometers is on the Afghan soil and 77 kilometers on the Iranian territory.
