Iran endeavoring to keep up gas output from joint field with Qatar

EghtesadOnline: Managing Director of Pars Gas & Oil Company Ali Akbar Sha'banpour said on Tuesday that company is endeavoring to raise output from joint gas field with Qatar by pumping 530 million cubic meters daily from next Spring of 1396 (2017).

Launching five phases of development plan of Southern Pars Gas Field, the Iranian gas output from the joint field with Qatar will increase by 100 million cubic meters, according to IRNA.

Sha'banpour said that the current gas output from Southern Pars joint gas field is 430 million cubic meters a day.

He underlined that to develop the gas field 55 billion dollars has been spent and that the company needs an extra 11 billion dollars investment for completion of remaining phases of the field.
