South Korean company ready for cooperation with Iranian partners

EghtesadOnline: South Korean Ambassador to Iran Kim Seong-ho said on Wednesday that major South Korean company is willing to undertake joint venture investment with Iranian partners to produce agricultural machinery in Iran.

He made the remarks in a meeting with director general of Agriculture Jihad Ministry for international and specialized organizations' affairs Human Fathi.

According to IRNA, he stressed the need for preparing the ground to promote ties in the agriculture and fishery sectors.

He noted that his country is resolved to enhance all-out ties and sustainable cooperation with Iran in various sectors of agriculture.

The Iranian official, for his part, said that the country is prepared to meet agricultural needs of South Korea including dried nuts, shrimps, date, pistachio, saffron and herbal medicines.

He also hoped to develop cooperation in the fields of financing, joint venture investment and exchange of technology and trade of agricultural products.

Fathi underlined the need for implementing agreements in the field of increasing productivity of water in agriculture and sustainable development of forestry.

Meanwhile, another official with Agriculture Jihad Ministry announced an upcoming visit by an Iranian delegation to South Korea to launch cooperation in the field of farming and mechanized agriculture.
